Getting Started

Download Offbook from the App Store and open the app. You'll be guided through a quick setup to configure your business details and GST preferences. All your data stays on your device—no account required.

Common Questions

How do I create an invoice?

Tap the "+" button on the home screen and select "Invoice". Fill in your client details, add line items, and tap "Save". You can then share the invoice via email or export it as a PDF.

How do I record expenses?

Tap the "+" button and select "Expense". You can snap a photo of your receipt, enter the amount, and categorise the expense. The app will automatically calculate GST if applicable.

How do I enable iCloud backup?

Go to Settings → Backup & Sync and toggle "iCloud Backup". Your data will be encrypted and backed up to your personal iCloud Drive. You can disable this at any time.

How do I export my data?

This feature is available with Offbook Pro. Go to Settings → Export and choose CSV or PDF format. You can export specific date ranges or your entire ledger.

How do I calculate my GST return?

Go to Reports → GST and select your filing period. Offbook will automatically calculate GST collected and paid based on your invoices and expenses. You can export this report for filing with IRD.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Go to Settings → Subscription and tap "Upgrade to Pro". You'll be taken to the App Store to complete the purchase. Your subscription is managed through your Apple ID.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Offbook, and tap "Cancel Subscription". Your data will remain on your device.

Can I use Offbook without internet?

Yes! Offbook is designed to work completely offline. All your data is stored locally on your device, so you can create invoices, record expenses, and run reports without any internet connection.
